The 2012–13 NBA season was the 67th season of the National Basketball Association (NBA). The season took place from October 30, 2012 to June 20, 2013. The defending champion and Eastern Conference champion Miami Heat defeated the Western Conference champion San Antonio Spurs 4-3 to win their second consecutive NBA championship and third, overall. LeBron James was once again named the Finals MVP. The NBA All-Star Game was held at the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas (home arena of the Houston Rockets), the Western Conference defeated the Eastern Conference 143-138, Chris Paul (Los Angeles Clippers) was named MVP.
