The 2013 NBA Playoffs was the postseason tournament of the National Basketball Association's 2012–13 season, which began on April 20, 2013 and ended on June 20, 2013. The defending champion and Eastern Conference champion Miami Heat defeated the Western Conference champion San Antonio Spurs in the Finals in seven games to win their second straight title, and third overall. LeBron James was named the playoffs MVP for the fourth time and the Finals MVP for the second straight year. This was the last playoffs until 2021 to feature the New York Knicks and last until 2022 not to feature the Portland Trail Blazers.
