The 2018–19 NBA season was the 73rd season of the National Basketball Association (NBA). The Regular season began on October 16. Christmas Games were played on December 25. The 2019 NBA All-Star Game was played on February 17, 2019 at the Spectrum Center in Charlotte, North Carolina. The Regular season ended on April 10, 2019. The Playoffs began on April 13, 2019 and will ended on June 13, 2019 with the Toronto Raptors defeating the Golden State Warriors in the 2019 NBA Finals, becoming NBA champions for the first time in their franchise's history as well as making their first NBA Finals appearance.
- On May 10, Nick Collison announced his retirement after 15 playing seasons with the Oklahoma City Thunder. His number 4 jersey was retired by the Thunder on January 12, 2019, making him the first Thunder player to have his jersey retired.
- On May 25, Mo Williams announced his retirement after playing 13 seasons with seven teams.
