Adam Silver is an American Basketball executive who currently serves as Commissioner of the NBA. Silver attended Duke. He began his career in 1992 where he held various positions before being appointed Deputy Commissioner of the NBA in 2006. In 2012 the NBA Board of Governors selected him as the next commissioner to succeed David Stern following Sterns retirement in 2014.
