Adam Silver (born 1966) is an American Basketball executive who current serves as Deputy Commissioner of the NBA. Silver attended Duke. He began his career in 1992 where he held various positions before being appointed Deputy Commissioner of the NBA in 2006. In 2012 current commissioner David Stern announced he his retirement after the 2013-14 season and appointed Silver as his replacement.
