Arvydas Sabonis (Russian: Арвидас Андреевич Сабонис, born December 19, 1964 in Kaunas, Lithuanian SSR, Soviet Union) is a Lithuanian retired professional basketball player and businessman. During the course of his career Sabonis was known for his passing ability and scoring ability, including being able to consistently hit Three pointers at a time when many players his size didn't.
Sabonis was drafted first overall by the Atlanta Hawks in the 1986 NBA Draft. he is the first former player as drafted first overall in the NBA history.
He was the member of the Summer Olympic Games Winner 1980 and 1988 as Soviet Union. He is the father of Domantas Sabonis.
