The Birmingham–Southern Panthers represent Birmingham–Southern College in NCAA Division III sports. Birmingham–Southern has been a member of the Southern Athletic Association (SAA) since the conference began play in 2012.
A member of the Division I Big South Conference from 2000 to 2007, they left D-I for the D-III Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference, completing the D-III transition in 2011. A year later, the Panthers were one of seven SCAC members that left that league to form the SAA.
