The Central Michigan Chippewas team is the basketball team that represent Central Michigan University in Mount Pleasant, Michigan. The school's team currently competes in the Mid-American Conference. The Chippewas appeared in the NAIA National Tournament twice. In back to back seasons in 1966 and 1967. The combined tournament wins and losses were 2 and 2 (advancing and then losing in the second round both years). Former coach Ted Kjolhede was named NAIA coach of the year for 1966.
