The Colonial Athletic Association (known as the CAA) is a conference participating in the NCAA's Division I, with member institutions in Delaware, Georgia, Maryland, Massachusetts, New York, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, and Virginia. It was founded in 1982 as the ECAC South, and was incorporated as an independent conference in 1985.
