Conference USA (known as CUSA) is a conference participating in the NCAA's Division I, with member institutions in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, New Mexico, Texas, and Virginia. It was founded in 1995, the result of a merger between the Great Midwest Conference and five schools from the Metro Conference.
CUSA was a significant focus of activity during all three major conference realignment cycles of the 21st century (2005, early 2010s, and early 2020s). None of its charter members are now in the conference, and only one member, UTEP, joined before 2013.
