The Horizon League is a conference participating in the NCAA's Division I, with member institutions in Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin. It was founded in 1979 as the Midwestern City Conference. The league changed to its current name in 2001.
