Lorenzen Wright (November 4, 1975 – July 19, 2010) was an American professional basketball player who played at Center. Wright was drafted 7th overall in the 1996 NBA Draft by the Los Angeles Clippers out of the University of Memphis. Wright played 5 different teams in the NBA, before becoming a free agent.
In July 2010 it was reported Wright had gone missing. His body was later found on July 28, and was found shot to death ten days later. In December 2017, his ex-wife Sherra Wright-Robinson was charged with facilitating his murder; a year and a half later, she pleaded guilty. Her friend, Billy Ray Turner, was convicted of first-degree murder, conspiracy to commit first-degree murder, and attempted first-degree murder in March 2022, receiving a sentence of life imprisonment.
