The Mountain West – Missouri Valley Challenge is an in-season NCAA college basketball series, matching up teams from the Mountain West Conference and the Missouri Valley Conference. The series is set to begin in November 2009, and will feature all nine of the MWC teams against nine of the ten MVC teams.[1]
The two conferences have agreed to a four year deal, extending the challenge through at least 2012.[2]
The MVC-MWC Challenge Series will occur from late November through December. The games will be hosted by each of the schools. Nine games will be played, leaving one team from the 10-team Missouri Valley Conference without an opponent.
