The Mountain West Athletic Conference (MWAC; not to be confused with the modern Mountain West Conference) was an NCAA Division I women's sports conference that operated from 1982 to 1988.
Almost all MWAC members were members of the Big Sky Conference, which only sponsored men's sports at its founding in 1963. The MWAC began play in 1982, the year after the NCAA began sponsoring women's sports, and was absorbed by the Big Sky Conference in 1988.
