Mychal George Thompson (born January 30, 1955) is a retired Bahamian basketball player. He was the first overall pick of the 1978 NBA Draft, selected by the Portland Trail Blazers. He is the father of Klay Thompson, Mychel Thompson and baseball player Trayce Thompson.
