The National Basketball Players Association (NBPA) is a Labor union for that represents the basketball players of the National Basketball Association. Founded in 1954, is the oldest union of major league sport in North America although it was not recognized by NBA team owners until 10 years later. The NBPA is headquartered in downtown Manhattan, New York.
