The University of North Carolina at Asheville (known for short as UNC Asheville) is a public liberal arts college and a member of the Council of Public Liberal Arts Colleges located in Asheville, North Carolina. It is the designated liberal arts institution in the University of North Carolina System.

UNC Asheville's athletics teams are known as the Bulldogs. They are a member of the NCAA's Division I and compete in the Big South Conference. The basketball team boasts the tallest player in the nation in 7-7 Kenny George.
