The Pacific West Conference (known as the Pac West) is a conference participating in the NCAA's Division II. It was founded in 1992. During a membership crisis in the decade of the 2000s, the conference did not sponsor women's basketball, since none of the member schools at that time fielded women's teams, but women's basketball was reinstated when existing members added women's teams and new members joined.
