Powell Athletic Center

Powell Athletic Center has been the home of Tiger and Lady Tiger basketball since its first year in 1969-70. The old tarten floor was added and dark maroon bleaches were added. In 1989-1990, the first wooden floor was added with a multi-color basketball as the logo at center court. Also, the scoreboard was hung in the center of the court from the rafters.

After 20 years of the tarten floor and dead spots throughout, the floor and gym had major renovations take place in 2002. The floor was sanded down and refinished but the same multi-color basketball logo still sat at center court. The scoreboards were added to both ends of the court and shot clocks were added above the goals. New bleachers were added and painted grey.

In 2003, the logo had changed and was now a maroon CU sitting at center court.

In 2013, the gym floor took a total face lift. The floor was sanded all the way down and refinished multiple times for the new shine to come out. The logo at center court went from a CU to the words Campbellsville. The baselines and sidelines were painted grey with a maroon Tigers in each corner.

Powell Athletic Center is also the home for Tiger and Lady Tiger swimming and volleyball. The pool was constructed in 1951 when the facility was built.

In the fall of 2015-16, Gosser Gymnasium became the full-time for both volleyball programs but all games will still be played in Powell Athletic Center.
