SEC Tournament[]
The SEC Tournament has been played continuously since 1979. During that period, its winner has received the league's automatic entry into the NCAA Tournament. From 1933 to 1952, except in 1935, an earlier version of the conference tournament was played, without determining the automatic entry.
The winner of the tournament is known as the SEC Tournament Champion; the SEC Champion is the team or teams with the best regular-season record.
