The Stanford Cardinal men's basketball team represents Stanford University, located in Stanford, California. The school's team currently competes in the Atlantic Coast Conference, which it joined in 2024 after more than a century in the Pac-12 Conference and that conference's predecessor, the Pacific Coast Conference. The team has won 13 conference championships (8 in the PCC and 5 in the Pac-10), the last in 2004, and one NCAA championship, in 1942. The team last played in the NCAA Division I Men's Basketball Tournament in 2008. The Cardinal are coached by Johnny Dawkins.
