The Summit League is a conference participating in the NCAA's Division I, with member institutions in Illinois, Colorado, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, Oklahoma, North Dakota and South Dakota. It was founded in 1982 as the Association of Mid-Continent Universities. The conference changed to the Mid-Continent Conference in 1990. The current name was adopted in 2007.
