The Truman Bulldogs are the sports teams of Truman State University, located in Kirksville, Missouri, United States. They participate in the NCAA's Division II and in the Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC), joining the conference in 2013 after having been a member of the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association (MIAA) since that league's creation in 1912.
The Bulldogs' most notable player is Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame member Harry Gallatin. Another notable player was Gene Bartow, who went on to a long college coaching career, most notably as John Wooden's successor at UCLA and the inaugural head coach of UAB. In the 21st century, the most notable Truman basketball alumnus is current Knox County, Tennessee mayor Glenn Jacobs, better known for his long professional wrestling career in WWE as Kane.
