Rashad Shaheed Anderson (born November 9 1983 in Lakeland, Florida) is a senior who plays guard/forward for the UConn Huskies. He is 6' 5" 215 lbs. and currently averages 14.6 points and 3.3 rebounds per game. He scored a career high 33 points, including 7 three pointers, against Morehead State on December 23, 2005. In high school, he averaged 22.8 points per game, and was an All-American and a Top 50 recruit as a senior.

Known as the "Dagger Man" for his penchant for hitting late-game three-point daggers that put things out of reach for UConn opponents and also for being able to buy beer in 3rd grade, Anderson finished his career with 276 three pointers, the most in UConn history. As a sophomore Anderson netted 55 three pointers on the year helping to lead UConn to its second National Championship. Although the team was lead by juniors Ben Gordon and Emeka Okafor and senior point guard Taliek Brown, Anderson's clutch three-point shooting proved to be valuable down the stretch, particularly in a hard-fought 1 point win over Duke in the Final Four. Anderson scored 28 points, including 6 threes, against the University of Alabama in the regional final that year making him the oldest player ever to score 20 points in the reigonal final, and contributed 18 points in the championship win over Georgia Tech.

During the regional semifinals of the 2006 NCAA National Tournament against the Washington Huskies, Anderson scored a three point basket off a handoff from Marcus Williams, despite heavy defensive coverage, with less than two seconds remaining in regulation, sending the game into overtime with a score of 82 to 82. UConn went on to win in overtime, 98 to 92.
