At Latta High School (S.C.), Raymond was named National High School Player of the Year in 2002, led his high school to two state championships and a high school career record of 104-9. He was named to the All-American Team and he set 2 South Carolina state scoring records (most points and most 3-pointers). Felton averaged 12.9 points and 6.9 assists per game during his junior season and showed a much-improved shooting touch. He was selected 5th overall in the 2005 NBA Draft by the Charlotte Bobcats.
